Nearby national parks:

  • Paluma National Park; swim at the old stone bridge, have your own private natural pool at the rockslides, or have a picnic at the paradise waterhole.

  • Wallaman Falls; spectacular 268 meter sheer drop. Walking tracks through the rainforest, platypus sighting.

  • Jourama Falls; picturesque terraced waterfalls, with freshwater swimming & rainforest walks.

  • Tyto Wetlands; 90 hectares of wetlands within walking distance of the centre of Ingham.

 

Other activities:

  • Go fishing! The boat ramp is just a few minutes from our park, just follow the Barrilgieroad next to the park.

  • Or drive a bit further along the 4WD-track and be amazed by the beautiful white beaches.

  • Visit the village of Paluma and take a walk in the clouds!

  • Visit Lake Paluma and go for one of the short or longer walks.

  • Visit Ingham, the wet tropics and cane growing area with the multicultural Italian Festival in May

  • Hichinbrook Channel, these protected waters offer 365 days of fishing opportunities and are an angler’s paradise. Take an eco-tour and discover this amazing wilderness.

  • Visit ReefHQ in Townsville, your window in the reef! Visit the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef at the world’s largest living coral reef aquarium.
